The previous post drew attention to the worrying lack of transparency of organisations such as Amnesty. That is of course nothing beside the lack of transparency - or the degree of worry about it - of the organisations they have their attention on, or of governments in general.
A short film by Alfonso CuarĂ³n based on the book 'The Shock Doctrine' by Naomi Klein has come to our attention which explores that theme. Unfortunately I don't have time today to expatiate on its merits. I suggest you watch it for yourself, and then take a little time to digest (if you have a strong stomach) its implications. Watching it will take rather less than 7 minutes of your time, and I can assure you it will be worth it.
